July Tips -
1. Change the A/C filter.
2.
Clean the fireplace chimney.
3. Spend more time
with the family.
Consider this….
If you are spending more
time in your yard and feeling like it's not enough? Bare spots,
brown spots, too wet, too dry? You might need to consider
low-maintenance ground cover as an alternative to the constant
patching, reseeding and resodding.
There are many varieties
of low-growing, earth-hugging plants that will make both you and your
yard look better. Most of these are evergreen vines, but there
are several perennials and shrubs that form lush mats that can be much
more appealing than grass. Better yet, they don't require any
special tools and only a little special knowledge.. Ground
covers can flourish where grass can't, and they do an excellent job of
hiding (or at least softening) not-so-great landscape elements. Because
there are so many types of ground cover and many are better suited for
some growing zones than others, you should discuss your specific
problem areas with your local nursery professional. Tell them
the type of problem you are having, with the type of area you are
trying to improve, and they will help you find the perfect solution
for your condition. Then stop fussing, clean up and spend some
well-deserved time with your family. Your yard will thank you,
too.
